Deadman Secrets
Private by design — even we can't read your secrets

Your secrets survive.
You don't have to.

A private, automatic way to pass on what matters most. Store passwords, crypto wallets, and personal messages — locked so only you can see them, released to the right people only when the time comes.

What happens to your digital life when you can't access it?

The average person now holds dozens of accounts, passwords, crypto seeds, and private documents. Most of that dies with them — or worse, falls into the wrong hands.

Crypto wallets lost forever

An estimated $140 billion in Bitcoin is permanently inaccessible because private keys were never passed on.

Accounts families can't reach

Banks, utilities, subscriptions — your family faces months of legal hurdles to access what's rightfully theirs.

Critical documents missing

Insurance policies, medical directives, legal passwords — the documents that matter most are often the hardest to find.

It happens more than you'd think

These aren't edge cases. They're Tuesday.

Simple setup. Automatic delivery.

Four steps between today and the peace of mind that your people are protected.

1

Lock your secrets

Type your passwords, notes, and messages. Your device scrambles them before anything is sent — we receive a locked box we can't open.

2

Name your beneficiaries

Assign specific secrets to specific people. Each recipient sees only what you intended them to see.

3

Set your check-in schedule

Choose a regular interval — daily to yearly. A gentle reminder keeps your switch armed.

4

Live your life

If you miss your check-in, your beneficiaries are notified and guided through secure retrieval.

Why we can't read your secrets

Think of it like a safety deposit box at a bank. The bank stores the box, but only you have the key. Even if the bank wanted to open it — or was forced to — they couldn't. There is no copy of your key anywhere on our servers. Here's how that works in practice.

Your device does the locking

When you save a secret, your phone or browser scrambles it using a key derived from your password — on your device, before anything is sent to us. What arrives on our servers is already unreadable. We receive a locked box, not its contents.

We store the box, never the key

The key to your vault is generated from your password and never transmitted to us. We have no record of it, no backup of it, and no way to recreate it. We are storing something we cannot open — and that is intentional.

Delivery uses a two-key lock

When your secrets are assigned to a beneficiary, a delivery key is cut into three pieces. One lives in your account. One goes to your beneficiary when triggered. One is sealed inside a tamper-proof hardware chip — verified by AWS hardware before it's allowed to operate — that only releases its piece when your deadline conditions are met. If anyone changes the code inside that chip, its hardware fingerprint breaks and the key is gone permanently. Any two pieces open the lock. No single piece can do anything alone.

What this means in practice:

  • If someone steals our entire database — they find encrypted blobs. Decrypting them requires running our exact, unmodified hardware chip code, with a cryptographic fingerprint that AWS itself verifies before handing over any key. Change a single line of that code and the fingerprint changes — the key is gone permanently. The attacker is left with data they cannot decrypt and no path forward.
  • If a hacker intercepts your beneficiary's email — they get that one piece. One piece alone is useless. It requires a second piece, and the second piece can only come from the hardware chip under verified delivery conditions that you set.
  • If your account is compromised — an attacker gets your one piece. Still useless without a second. The hardware chip only cooperates when your switch has genuinely triggered, under the conditions you defined.

The lock opens only when two pieces cooperate at the right moment, under the right conditions — and that moment is defined entirely by the rules you set.

Who is this for?

Anyone with a digital life worth protecting.

Families & Estate Planning

Leave your spouse the bank login. Leave each child a personal message. Leave your executor the password manager master key — all delivered automatically, only when needed.

Crypto & DeFi Holders

Hardware wallet seed phrases, exchange API keys, DeFi vault passwords. The most common reason crypto is lost forever is no succession plan. Build one today.

Small Business & Founders

Server passwords, domain credentials, banking tokens. Ensure your business can survive a medical emergency or unexpected departure without a scramble.

Journalists & Activists

Configure a dead man's switch to publish source material, whistleblower evidence, or encrypted communications if you go silent — protecting sources even after you can't.

Medical & Legal Directives

Advance directives, healthcare proxy documents, power-of-attorney instructions. Reach the right person at the right moment, no lawyer required.

Security & DevOps Teams

Critical infrastructure credentials that must survive employee turnover. Define time-locked emergency access that only activates after a configurable grace period.

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

End-to-End Encrypted

Your secrets are locked on your device. The server stores only scrambled data it cannot read.

Flexible Check-In

From daily to yearly. Push-notification reminders keep it frictionless.

Fine-Grained Sharing

Each secret is independently scoped. Different beneficiaries, different deadlines.

File Attachments

Attach PDFs, images, and documents — all locked before upload.

Mobile App

iOS & Android. One-tap check-in directly from push notifications.

Browser Extension

Save credentials directly from your browser without copy-paste.

Beneficiary Portal

Recipients get a guided, secure retrieval experience — no technical knowledge required.

Audit Log

Every access, check-in, and modification is timestamped and tamper-evident.

Built so we can't betray you

We engineered around the assumption that our own infrastructure could be compromised. Not a policy promise — a mathematical one.

Locked before it leaves your device

Your password and secrets are scrambled on your phone or computer before anything reaches our servers. We receive data we cannot read.

We hold the box, not the key

Your vault key is derived from your password and never transmitted. Stealing our entire database gives an attacker encrypted blobs — and no path to decrypt them.

Hardware-sealed delivery

When secrets are released, a tamper-proof hardware chip — verified by AWS before it operates — controls the final key. Modify its code by a single byte and it permanently loses access. There is no override.

Simple, transparent pricing

Every plan includes the same privacy guarantee — your secrets locked on your device, delivered only when it matters.
